Job summary
RTX is seeking an Intern/Co-op or early-career engineer in Huntsville to contribute to the Power Electronics & Controls team. You will participate in design, analysis, simulation, and testing of power conversion circuits, guiding PCB layout and documentation, while working within a fast-paced team environment.
The role involves collaboration across disciplines, applying engineering tools, and contributing to complex power subsystems for aerospace and defense projects.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) is required.
- Experience with low-level electronic components and design using resistors, capacitors, inductors, diodes and transistors.
- Experience with non-isolated converter topologies: buck, boost, buck-boost.
- Experience in analog design and testing including FET, BJT, and Op-amp circuits.
- Experience gained via work, coursework, or projects.
Responsibilities
- Design, analyze (including thermal), simulate, and test power conversion circuitry (buck/boost) including modules and discrete designs.
- Guide ECAD personnel through PCB layout and technical drawing creation.
- Perform design work within given schedules and present reviews to leadership.
