Job summary

Stantec is seeking an experienced Regional Supervisor – Power Delivery to lead and provide technical oversight for our Substation engineering teams across the United States, with regular in-office presence and a flexible work practice.

This leadership role focuses on 500 kV+ substations, staff development, project delivery, and collaboration with cross-discipline teams to grow Stantec’s Power Delivery capabilities while upholding HSSE standards and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum of 15+ years of experience in electrical engineering and design with significant experience supporting Power Delivery projects.
• Experience in Extra High Voltage (EHV) substation systems at 500 kV and above is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee substation design and engineering deliverables, including switchyard layouts, grounding, and equipment specifications.
• Provide technical support during procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
• Responsible for team members’ development, guidance, and performance management, including salary reviews and career development.
• Drive succession planning and foster a collaborative, inclusive work environment across offices and geographies.
• Support risk identification and mitigation related to staffing, schedule, quality, and client commitments.
