Job summary

WSP is seeking a Project Manager for the Power Delivery Project Management team with multiple regional locations, including Boston, MA. The role involves initiating and executing Power Delivery projects, developing client relationships, and marketing WSP’s services to clients within the region.

The successful candidate will lead HV/EHV substation and transmission projects through all lifecycle stages, manage budgets and schedules, and collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Engineering, Construction Management or related field within Power & Energy Market.
• 12 years of relevant post-education project management experience in Power Delivery/Utility.
• Minimum of 5 years leading engineering/construction teams on HV/EHV substations and transmission projects.
• Knowledge of contract management, risk management, scheduling (Primavera P6), earned value management, and QA/QC.
• Strong written and oral communication and ability to collaborate with senior management and clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide PM leadership for HV/EHV substation and transmission projects, overseeing design budgets, forecasts, margins, KPIs, and risk contingencies.
• Develop strategies to engage stakeholders and report progress to clients and leadership.
• Guide pursuit/initiation activities including Go/No-Go decisions, contract reviews, and risk mitigation.
• Lead contract negotiations and client presentations when needed.
• Ensure project teams perform technical reviews and adhere to the QA/QC plan.
• Provide guidance to staff and maintain project documentation (PMP, QP, PSP, Risk).
• Coordinate resources and subcontracting, manage monthly client reporting and lessons learned.
