Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Project Manager for our Power Delivery Project Management team in the Midwest region. The position supports multiple concurrent HV/EHV substation and transmission projects, with travel to client offices as needed and remote work options from a mutually agreed location.

The role requires leading planning, scheduling, budgeting and coordination with internal/external teams to ensure project delivery with quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Engineering, Construction Management or related field in Power & Energy Market.
• 10+ years post-education experience; PM role in Power Delivery/Utility.
• 3+ years leading engineering/construction teams for HV/EHV projects.
• Experience with IOUs/IPPs/Munis etc.
• Familiarity with financial analysis tools in a utility setting.
• Knowledge of PM processes and tools (Contract, Schedule, Earned Value, Change, Risk).

Responsibilities

• Lead project planning across initiation, design, procurement, construction, commissioning and close-out.
• Manage project schedule, budget, resources and external vendors.
• Lead client discussions and develop client relationships.
• Serve as primary project authority on major issues.
• Track metrics and report to stakeholders; ensure QA/QC adherence.
• Oversee cross-functional teams and manage hours, expenses and deliverables.
• Ensure appropriate technical reviews and adherence to QA/QC plans.
