Job summary

WSP is seeking a Project Manager for our Power Delivery Project Management team in the Midwest. The role supports HV/EHV substations, transmission and distribution projects across multiple states with optional remote work from a mutually agreed location.

The candidate will lead planning, scheduling, budgeting, client discussions, and cross-functional teams through all project phases, ensuring quality and regulatory compliance while maintaining strong client relations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• 10+ years of post-education experience, preferably in Power Delivery/Utility PM.
• Experience leading engineering/construction teams on HV/EHV projects.
• Familiarity with financial analysis tools in a utility setting.
• Proven safety record and adherence to policies.
• Knowledge of project management processes and tools (Contract, EV, Change, Risk).
• Proficiency with MS Office, Visio, Project, SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Lead project planning across initiation, design, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and close-out.
• Manage project schedule, budget, and resources including vendors and contractors.
• Lead client discussions and grow client relationships.
• Act as primary project authority on major issues.
• Track metrics and report to stakeholders while ensuring QA/QC compliance.
• Oversee cross-functional teams and manage budgets, hours, and deliverables.
• Assign qualified staff for technical reviews and ensure QA/QC adherence.
