Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Safety Intern to learn and participate in the Project Safety Program, developing site safety policies and procedures. You will help monitor projects, ensure regulatory compliance, and contribute to safety audits and training with field teams.

This internship emphasizes hands-on field experience, relocation flexibility, and exposure to diverse projects, with a strong safety-first culture guiding every task.

Qualifications

• Pursuing OH&S or related degree.
• Knowledge of construction safety and OSHA requirements.
• MS Word and Excel proficiency.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Attention to detail.
• Willing to travel/relocate.
• Safety certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing the Project Safety Program and site safety policies.
• Monitor construction activities for compliance with regulations and policies.
• Provide corrective action recommendations and assist in safety program audits and training.
• Travel/relocation to project sites as required.
