Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Safety Intern to contribute to our Project Safety Program and help develop site safety policies across North America. You will assist in monitoring field activities and ensuring compliance with federal, OSHA, and client requirements while supporting on-site teams.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related fields, with strong communication and organizational skills, and a willingness to travel or relocate to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

Must be pursuing a degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Safety, or a related field of study.
Knowledge of construction safety and OSHA requirements is preferred.
Proficiency with MS Word and Excel; strong organizational skills.
Ability to work with all levels in the organization and travel as required.

Responsibilities

Assist in developing and monitoring Project Safety Program and site safety policies.
Monitor construction activities for compliance with regulations and company policies.
Provide corrective action recommendations and assist in safety program audits and training.
Travel/relocate as required to project sites.
