Job summary

Wayne-Sanderson Farms is seeking a Poultry Processing Supervisor to lead production line personnel and ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, USDA and OSHA standards while achieving productivity and customer specs. You will establish procedures, deploy staff, monitor reports, and drive process improvements.

The role requires leadership experience, knowledge of poultry processing and food safety regulations, and strong English communication, detail orientation, and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year experience in manufacturing.
• Three years in food manufacturing or poultry preferred.
• Leadership experience required to supervise up to 100 employees.
• HACCP, GMP and OSHA knowledge and experience with food safety.
• Ability to communicate in English (verbal and written).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficient computer and math skills.
• Self-starter with initiative in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage production line/department by establishing procedures and adjusting as necessary to meet production schedules, increase efficiencies and meet or exceed budget objectives.
• Deploy and rotate personnel to optimize efficiency and ergonomics.
• Ensure daily reporting is accurately completed and recorded.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and reduce repeat deficiencies.
• Lead or participate in planning and implementation of process improvements.
• Partner with Quality Assurance to ensure a food safe and sanitary environment.
• Mentor, coach, and train employees; provide feedback on strengths and areas for improvement.
• Administer performance improvement plans and disciplinary actions.
• Follow safety initiatives and wear required PPE.
• Collaborate with other departments to meet location goals.
• Learn and adhere to Union contract if applicable.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
