The role emphasizes coaching, safety, and process improvement, with responsibilities spanning scheduling, performance management, cross-training, and collaboration with QA to maintain a sanitary, zero-accident environment.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum one year experience in a manufacturing setting; poultry industry preferred.
• Leadership experience including timekeeping, policy adherence, and conflict resolution; three years preferred.
• Working knowledge of poultry processing, food safety regulations, OSHA guidelines, GMP and HACCP.

Aufgaben

• Manage production line/department to meet schedules and budgets.
• Deploy and rotate personnel to optimize efficiency and ergonomics.
• Ensure daily reporting of departmental metrics and staffing.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and reduce deficiencies.
• Lead or participate in process improvements and monitor metrics.
• Collaborate with QA to maintain sanitary environments per USDA requirements.
• Coach and train employees; administer performance improvement plans and disciplinary actions.
• Follow safety initiatives and enforce PPE usage.
• Work with other departments to meet location goals.
• Understand and adhere to any Union contract if applicable.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
