Job summary

Wayne-Sanderson Farms in North Carolina is seeking a Poultry Processing Supervisor to oversee production line personnel and ensure compliance with HACCP, SSOPs, GMPs, USDA and OSHA standards while meeting productivity and customer specifications.

The role includes coordinating schedules, mentoring staff, implementing process improvements, reporting metrics, and partnering with Quality Assurance to maintain a hygienic, safe operation.

Qualifications

• Minimum one (1) year experience in a manufacturing setting; three (3) years in food manufacturing or poultry preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership experience including policy adherence, timekeeping and conflict resolution; able to resolve issues efficiently.
• Working knowledge of poultry processing, food safety regulations (OSHA, GMP, HACCP).
• Strong English communication, both verbal and written; multilingual abilities preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage production line/department by establishing procedures to meet schedules and budgets.
• Deploy and rotate personnel to optimize efficiency and ergonomics.
• Ensure daily reporting is completed accurately (attendance, yields, etc.).
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and reduce repeat deficiencies.
• Lead planning and implementation of process improvements; monitor metrics.
• Partner with Quality Assurance to maintain food safety and sanitary environment.
• Mentor, coach and train employees; administer performance actions fairly.
• Follow safety policies and wear required PPE.
