Qualifications

• Must have minimum one year in a manufacturing setting; three years in food manufacturing or poultry preferred.
• Demonstrated one year of leadership experience including timekeeping, policy adherence, conflict resolution, and issue resolution.
• Working knowledge of poultry processing, food safety regulations, OSHA guidelines, GMP and HACCP.

Responsibilities

• Manage production line/department by establishing procedures and adjusting to meet schedules, increase efficiencies and meet budget objectives.
• Deploy and rotate personnel to optimize efficiency and ergonomics.
• Ensure daily reports are accurately completed (attendance, yields, etc.).
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and reduce repeated deficiencies.
• Lead or participate in planning and implementing process improvements and monitor metrics.
• Partner with Quality Assurance to ensure a food safe environment per USDA requirements.
• Mentor and train employees; provide consistent feedback.
• Administer performance improvement plans and disciplinary actions.
• Follow safety initiatives and ensure PPE usage to maintain zero accidents.
• Collaborate with other departments to meet/location goals.
• Learn and adhere to current Union contract if applicable.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
