Job summary

Wayne-Sanderson Farms is seeking a Poultry Processing Supervisor to oversee production line staff, ensure adherence to HACCP, SSOPs, GMPs, USDA and OSHA standards, and achieve top productivity while meeting customer specs.

The role involves directing up to 100 employees, optimizing scheduling, training teams, and driving process improvements across the operation in a fast-paced plant environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of manufacturing experience; three years in food manufacturing or poultry preferred.
• Leadership experience including timekeeping, policy adherence and conflict resolution.
• Knowledge of poultry processing, food safety regulations, OSHA guidelines, GMP and HACCP.
• Ability to communicate in English with internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Manage production line by establishing procedures and adjusting to meet schedules and budgets.
• Deploy and rotate personnel to optimize efficiency and ergonomics.
• Ensure daily department reporting (attendance, yields, etc.).
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and reduce repeat deficiencies.
• Lead planning and implementation of process improvements; monitor metrics.
• Partner with Quality Assurance to ensure food safety and USDA compliance.
• Mentor, coach and train employees; administer performance improvement plans.
• Follow safety initiatives and promote zero-accident culture; ensure PPE use.
• Collaborate with other departments to meet location goals.
• Learn and adhere to current Union contract if applicable.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
