Job summary

Wayne-Sanderson Farms is seeking a Poultry Processing Supervisor to lead the Retail or Further processing departments, ensuring adherence to HACCP, SSOPs, GMPs, and USDA/OSHA standards while driving productivity. The role requires prior manufacturing leadership and strong safety focus.

You will coordinate staffing for production schedules, monitor reports, and collaborate across departments to meet quality and efficiency targets in a fast-paced plant environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum one (1) year experience in manufacturing; three (3) years in food/poultry preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership experience including timekeeping, policy adherence and issue resolution.
• Working knowledge of poultry processing, food safety regulations, OSHA, GMP and HACCP.
• Strong written and verbal English communication with internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Supervise retail or further processing departments up to 100 employees to meet production goals.
• Deploy and rotate personnel to optimize efficiency and ergonomics and meet schedules.
• Ensure daily departmental reports, attendance and yields are accurately recorded.
• Identify opportunities for throughput improvement and waste reduction.
• Lead process improvements and monitor metrics; respond to trends.
• Collaborate with QA to maintain USDA-compliant, sanitary environments.
• Mentor, coach and cross-train staff; administer disciplinary actions when needed.
• Follow safety programs and enforce PPE usage; support a zero-accident culture.
