Job summary

Wayne Farms LLC is seeking a Poultry Processing Supervisor for the Retail or Further processing departments. This role oversees up to 100 employees, ensuring all procedures align with HACCP, SSOPs, GMPs, USDA and OSHA regulations while achieving productivity and meeting customer specifications.

The ideal candidate will have 1+ year in manufacturing with leadership experience, knowledge of timekeeping, policy adherence, and conflict resolution; 3+ years in poultry industry preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree with relevant college coursework preferred.
• Minimum one year of experience in a manufacturing setting; three years in food manufacturing or poultry preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership experience including knowledge of timekeeping requirements, policy adherence, conflict resolution and issue resolution; three years preferred.
• Working knowledge of poultry processing, food safety regulations, OSHA guidelines, GMP and HACCP.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, written and verbal; multiple language skills a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise retail or further (value add) processing production line/department to meet production schedules and budgets.
• Deploy and rotate personnel to optimize efficiency and ergonomics.
• Ensure daily reports (attendance, yields, etc.) are completed accurately.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and reduce repeat deficiencies.
• Partner with QA to ensure food safety and USDA compliance.
• Mentor and train employees; administer performance improvement plans as needed.
• Enforce safety policies and PPE usage; maintain zero-accident culture.
• Collaborate with other departments to meet location goals.
