Job summary

Wayne-Sanderson Farms seeks a Poultry Processing Supervisor to oversee the Retail or Further processing departments, ensuring compliance with HACCP, SSOPs, GMP and USDA/OSHA standards while driving productivity and meeting customer specs.

The role requires leadership of up to 100 staff, strong communication, and the ability to mentor and train teams in a fast-paced environment. Day-to-day duties include scheduling, safety, and cross-department coordination.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of manufacturing experience; three years in food manufacturing or poultry preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership experience including policy adherence and issue resolution.
• Knowledge of poultry processing, food safety regulations, OSHA, GMP and HACCP.

Responsibilities

• Supervise processing production lines to meet schedules and budget objectives.
• Deploy personnel to optimize efficiency and ergonomics.
• Complete and verify departmental reports and attendance records.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and waste reduction.
• Lead implementation of process improvements and monitor metrics.
• Coordinate with Quality Assurance to maintain food safety and sanitation.
• Mentor and train employees; administer performance actions as needed.
• Uphold safety policies and PPE requirements; support cross-department collaboration.
• Learn and adhere to any applicable union contract; perform additional duties.
