Job summary

Wayne-Sanderson Farms is seeking a Poultry Processing Supervisor for the Retail or Further processing departments. You will supervise up to 100 employees, ensuring procedures align with HACCP, SSOPs, GMPs and USDA/OSHA regulations while achieving productivity and meeting customer specs.

You will mentor staff, coordinate with QA, implement process improvements, and ensure safety protocols are followed in a fast-paced poultry processing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree with relevant coursework preferred
• Minimum one year of experience in a manufacturing setting; three years in food manufacturing or poultry preferred
• Proven leadership experience with timekeeping, policy adherence, conflict resolution
• Working knowledge of poultry processing, food safety regulations, OSHA, GMP and HACCP
• Excellent verbal and written English communication; multilingual abilities a plus
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple projects

Responsibilities

• Manage retail or further processing production line/department to meet schedules and budgets
• Deploy and rotate personnel to optimize efficiency and ergonomics
• Ensure daily departmental reports, attendance, yields, and staffing data are accurately recorded
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and reduce repeat deficiencies
• Lead or participate in process improvement initiatives and monitor metrics
• Coordinate with Quality Assurance to maintain food safety and sanitation per USDA requirements
• Mentor and train employees; administer performance improvement plans and disciplinary actions
• Uphold safety initiatives and PPE usage to maintain a zero-accident culture
• Collaborate with other departments and shifts to meet location goals
• Learn and adhere to current Union negotiated contract if applicable
• Perform additional duties as assigned
