Job summary

Wayne Farms is seeking a Poultry Processing Supervisor to oversee production line personnel, ensuring adherence to HACCP, SSOPs, GMPs and USDA/OSHA rules while achieving productivity and customer specs.

You will manage scheduling, rotate staff, mentor employees, and partner with QA to uphold food safety. The role requires leadership, strong communication, and a proactive approach in a fast-paced poultry facility.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in manufacturing; 3 years in food/poultry preferred.
• 1 year of leadership experience incl. timekeeping and policy adherence; 3 years preferred.
• Working knowledge of poultry processing, food safety, OSHA, GMP, HACCP.
• English communication skills; multilingual helpful.
• Strong attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
• Self-starter with initiative; able to work in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Manage production line/department to meet schedules and budgets.
• Deploy and rotate personnel to optimize efficiency and ergonomics.
• Ensure daily reports are completed (attendance, yields, etc.).
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and reduce deficiencies.
• Lead process improvements; monitor metrics and trends.
• Work with QA to ensure a safe, sanitary environment per USDA.
• Mentor and train employees; provide feedback and development.
• Follow safety initiatives and enforce PPE usage.
• Collaborate with other departments to meet location goals.
• Understand and adhere to any applicable union contract.
