Job summary

Momentum Education, a Houston-based nonprofit, seeks a Post-Secondary Advisor to support approximately 500 students through college and into living-wage careers. The Advisor will review surveys, assist with GPA-improvement plans, and connect students to internships and job opportunities, while maintaining Salesforce records.

The position is full-time and in-person in Houston, reporting to the Executive Director.

Qualifications

• Two plus years of experience working in education, college access or student advising.
• Ability to manage a caseload of ~500 students.
• Commitment to Momentum Education's mission and growth.
• Proven ability to build trusting relationships with students.
• Experience with student data systems; Salesforce preferred.
• In-person work at Houston office 8:30–5:30 with lunch.
• Bachelor's degree and US work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Review monthly student survey responses and schedule follow-ups.
• Meet with students with GPA below 3.0 and develop improvement plans.
• Communicate with students via email and the student platform.
• Maintain accurate student records in Salesforce.
• Support students in identifying internships and full-time opportunities.
• Track progress toward graduation and living-wage employment.
