About Momentum Education:

Momentum Education is a Houston-based nonprofit that helps first-generation and low-income students become college-ready, enroll in post-secondary education, graduate, and ultimately enter careers that pay a living wage. Momentum operates two core programs: a High School Program and a Post-Secondary Program.

High School Program

  • College Readiness: Intensive SAT and TSIA2 preparation designed to help students become college-ready.
  • Post-Secondary Enrollment: Monthly advising to help students apply to and enroll in post-secondary education.

Post-Secondary Program

  • Academic Support: Monthly student surveys are analyzed to identify students who need additional support and connect them with targeted advising.
  • Career Support: Students receive professional mentorship and connections to internships and job opportunities.
About the Position:

Momentum Education seeks a highly organized and student-centered Post-Secondary Advisor to support approximately 500 students as they progress through post-secondary education and into their careers. • Maintain accurate and timely student records, interactions, and notes in Salesforce
  • Support students in identifying and applying for internships and full-time job opportunities
  • Track student progress toward post-secondary graduation and living-wage employment

  • A strong commitment to Momentum Education's mission and interest in growing with the organization over the long term
  • A proven ability to build trusting, positive relationships with students
  • Comfort using technology and student data systems; experience with Salesforce, Google Workspace, Slack, Trello, or similar platforms is preferred
