Job summary

Scott & Associates, PC, a well-established legal recoveries firm, seeks a motivated Post Judgment Legal Assistant to join our Plano, TX-based team.

The role supports the Post Judgment Attorney in enforcement activities, case management, and document preparation. Key duties include reviewing post-judgment files, preparing enforcement documents, filing with courts, coordinating with enforcement officers, banks, and consumers, and entering data into the case management system.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of relevant experience in a legal office.
• Paralegal Certification or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
• Ability to work with databases and on-line platforms.
• Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills.
• Detail-oriented, diligent and flexible.
• Proficient command of the English language in both oral and written format.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality in a professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Review post-judgment files to determine appropriate enforcement actions.
• Confirm information regarding assets/income prior to enforcement activity.
• Generate enforcement documents per firm policies and procedures.
• Submit enforcement documents to the court, marshal or sheriff for processing.
• Supervise and track enforcement processes and documents.
• Enter and post all enforcement data into the firm's case management system.
• Communicate with enforcement officers, courts, banks, employers, attorneys and consumers about garnishment accounts.
• Import enforcement imaging into the firm's case management system.
