Job summary

Nationwide Children’s Hospital is seeking a Grants Administrator to serve as the primary contact with sub-recipients and to coordinate post-award management of sponsored research.

Responsibilities include ensuring adherence to sponsor guidelines and institutional policies, interfacing with Compliance, Technology Transfer, Legal Services, HR, Research Purchasing, and Research Finance to support post-award activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience.
• One year of related experience is required.
• Experience in research administration, accounting, or equivalent experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the contact with the sub-recipient to clarify institutional policies and prime sponsor guidelines.
• Coordinates the negotiation and execution of subawards and modifications with sub-recipients or vendors.
• Liaises with Compliance, Technology Transfer, Legal Services, HR, Research Purchasing, Research Finance and other departments to support post-award management of sponsored research.
• Ensures adherence to institutional policies and sponsor guidelines for funding and agreements to outside institutions; ensures compliance with FFTPATA reporting.
• Aligns Research Institute policies with subrecipient requirements including monitoring, indirect cost recovery, cost-share, space, reporting, patent and property rights; purchasing.
• Works with sub-sites, administration, PIs and staff to resolve programmatic and compliance issues.
• Maintains a high level of professional knowledge through self-study, research, and attendance at webinars and conferences.
• Disseminates information on NIH and sponsor guideline changes to customers.
• Participates in administrative research support team meetings to oversee compliance with requirements.
