Job summary

The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus seeks a Post-Award Grant Specialist to manage post-award functions for the Department of Pediatrics, including all grant and gift fund activity and overall fiscal management for sponsored programs.

The role supports Principal Investigators, coordinates with grants offices, and ensures compliant administration across awards, budgets, and reports in a remote-friendly setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Accounting, Finance, or a business-related major.
• Three (3) or more years of experience in preparing detailed budgets, expense reports, and financial projections.

Responsibilities

• Notification of Award: review notices, re-budget if needed, ensure sponsor budget alignment.
• Subcontract Administration: establish subcontracts, process invoices, resolve issues.
• Payroll and Funding Distribution: set funding and effort, monitor monthly distributions.
• General Post-Award Management: coordinate with grants offices, manage reporting and 30/60/90-day items.
• Reporting: meet with PIs, prepare revenue/expense projections, journal entries, reconciliations.
• Closeout: reconcile expenses, ensure invoices/payments and subcontract payments posted.
• Other: quarterly reports, annual data updates, ad hoc reporting, additional duties.

Education
