Job summary

SpotOn is seeking an Installation Specialist to ensure restaurant sites are prepared for POS installations through virtual assessments, on-site readiness checks, and hands-on deployment. You will survey sites, install hardware virtually or onsite, and deliver staff training to enable smooth go-lives.

With deep restaurant operations knowledge and strong technical skills, you will mentor junior specialists, drive installation efficiency, and contribute to process improvements.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of networking infrastructure and Wi‑Fi optimization.
• Advanced network testing (speed, latency, DNS) and translating findings for non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities with experience resolving escalated issues.
• Hands-on experience with restaurant POS systems, multi-terminal deployments, and installations across restaurant environments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct virtual site surveys and validate readiness of wiring, electrical, networking and internet performance.
• Install and configure POS hardware, complete cabling, and deliver onsite staff training.
• Lead post-installation tasks, checks, and follow-ups to ensure smooth transitions and adoption.
• Travel regularly to client sites to support installations and client onboarding.
• Maintain records and contribute to SOPs, templates and internal process improvements.
