Job summary

SpotOn in Canada is seeking an Installation Specialist to ensure restaurant sites are ready for POS installations, including virtual surveys, on-site readiness checks, and hardware setup. You will train staff, diagnose infrastructure issues, and travel to client sites to ensure smooth transitions.

The role requires strong networking knowledge, hands-on experience with restaurant POS deployments, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in IT/Networking preferred.
• Equivalent education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive virtual site surveys and validate readiness of wiring, network, and internet performance.
• Install and configure POS hardware, complete cabling, and provide on-site staff training.
• Deliver onsite support, configure reporting, and troubleshoot post-install tasks.
• Lead client follow-ups, mentor junior specialists, and document outcomes.
• Travel regularly to client sites and collaborate with PMs, technicians, and engineers.
• Maintain SOPs, SLAs, and continuous process improvements.
