Job summary

TRUNO Retail Technology Solutions is seeking a POS Field Service Technician to ensure timely response to service requests at customer sites within the assigned territory. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, repairing, testing, and documenting all work on POS hardware and related equipment.

Occasional after-hours availability and travel within a 150‑mile radius are required. The ideal candidate has an IT-related associate degree (preferred), 1 year tech service experience, and strong

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent in IT or related field preferred.
• 1 year of technology service experience preferred; retail exp. preferred.
• Familiarity with Windows and Microsoft Office required.
• Experience with electronics/tech hardware preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service requests timely and document fully with details.
• Interact with store personnel and Truno team in a positive, clear manner.
• Maintain ability to work regular hours and be available after hours when needed.
• Travel when needed, typically within a 150-mile radius, with limited overnight travel.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and test in-store equipment.
• Use basic hand/tools to perform duties.
• Provide preventative maintenance on POS equipment and related hardware.
• Configure software/hardware and perform installs/upgrades as needed.
• Maintain professional appearance and confidentiality; adhere to deadlines.
• Manage company vehicle, credit card, fuel, and tools/resources.
