Job summary

Serco is seeking a Project Manager to lead the PORTS program in support of the US Surface Navy. You will coordinate between the Program Manager, customers, and project teams to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of simulation-based training systems.

The role requires DoD eligibility, a related degree, 5+ years of management experience with P&L, and familiarity with software projects. Travel up to 10% is expected.

Qualifications

• US citizen with ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS, engineering, applied science, or management.
• Minimum 5 years of management experience including profit and loss.
• Familiar with software development projects.
• Solid experience using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project).
• Travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operational aspects of ongoing projects and act as liaison between Program Manager, Customer, and project team.
• Review project status and budgets; review work products; manage schedules and prepare status reports.
• Prepare DoD-compliant data items.
• Adhere to quality objectives, metrics, and schedules.
• Attend meetings and brief Serco management and Navy customers on project status.
• Assess issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer goals.
• Participate in proposal activities for new projects.
