Job summary

Serco is seeking a Project Manager to lead the PORTS program in support of Navy simulation and training systems. You will coordinate with Program Manager, customers, and technical teams to ensure on-time delivery, quality, and responsive communication.

The role requires a US citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance, with 5+ years of management experience and a track record in software development environments. Occasional travel up to 10% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, applied science, or management.
• 5+ years of management experience including profit and loss.
• Familiar with software development projects.
• Solid experience using Microsoft Office products.
• Willing to travel up to 10%.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain DoD clearance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the day-to-day operational aspects of ongoing projects and serve as liaison between Program Manager, Customer, and project team
• Review status of projects and budgets; review project work products; manage schedules and prepare status reports.
• Prepare data items in accordance with DoD requirements.
• Adhere to quality objectives, technical metrics, and schedules
• Attend meetings and brief Serco management and Navy customers on project status
• Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives
• Participate in proposal activities for new projects
