Job summary

Columbia Distributing is seeking a Business Development Director (Portfolio Manager) in Anchorage. The role focuses on creating annual business and brand plans with suppliers, driving performance through data analysis, and leading cross-functional teams to execute plans.

The position requires strong leadership, a track record in sales, and the ability to manage category objectives, relationships, and market insights across retail channels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; HS diploma or GED acceptable with relevant experience.
• Minimum five years of sales experience and one year in the industry.
• Valid driver license and auto insurance required; CSP and sales fundamentals training on hire.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; AS400 system experience helpful.
• Bilingual skills preferred; strong presentation and relationship-building abilities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with suppliers to craft annual business and brand focus plans.
• Analyze data sources to drive sales performance and retail execution.
• Coordinate with supplier and sales teams to execute focus plans and training.
• Support category management objectives through the reset process.
• Represent market intelligence to retailers, field sales, and senior management.
• Develop relationships with co-workers, retailers, and cross-functional teams.
