Job summary

FirstService Residential in Hoffman Estates, IL is seeking a Community Association Manager - Portfolio to lead associations on behalf of the Board of Directors. You will act as liaison to communities, enforce compliance, and oversee operations and staff performance.

You will develop goals with the Board, manage budgets, monitor financial health, ensure asset protection, and coordinate with vendors and emergency services.

Qualifications

• Active Community Association Manager license in Illinois.
• Understanding of building management, condo law, financial planning and property management laws.
• Strong communication, both written and verbal, with stakeholders.
• Budgetary knowledge and control for program execution within the community.
• High energy, ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple projects.
• Superior oral and written communication skills.
• Portfolio management experience or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop recommendations for community goals and lead action plans to achieve Board objectives.
• Provide leadership to ensure homeowner needs are addressed.
• Maintain regular communication with Board members to exceed client needs.
• Create and manage the annual budget; monitor financial position monthly.
• Ensure protection of client funds, property, and assets against contingencies.
• Lead Board meetings with agendas and reports and follow up on priorities.
• Maintain service excellence in interactions with residents, vendors, staff, and colleagues.
• Assess community needs and collaborate with external vendors for improvements.
• Recruit, hire, train, and supervise all community staff.
• Coordinate with local emergency organizations to maintain evacuation plans.
• Ensure compliance with Illinois Condo Act and FirstService Residential policies.
