Job summary

The Shelly Company is seeking a Portable Plant Equipment/Plant Operator for the Day Shift to support the foreperson with daily production duties, operating heavy equipment and handling plant-related tasks at various locations in Ohio.

Ideal candidates are safety-conscious, able to follow directions, and willing to work nights, weekends, and travel as needed. The role involves basic maintenance and adherence to OSHA/MSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Detect safety hazards and equipment malfunctions and respond accordingly.
• Maintain and safely operate heavy equipment including Haul Truck, Water Truck, Dump Truck, Dredge, Track Hoe, Frontend Loader, and Skid Steer Loader.
• Understand and follow directions.
• Weld and fabricate as needed.
• Assist with miscellaneous duties including general labor, shoveling, equipment maintenance, and assisting foreperson.
• Assist with daily operations and upkeep of the plant.
• Clean up around the plant, equipment, and surrounding area.
• Follow OSHA & MSHA regulations.
• Perform general maintenance on equipment.
