Job summary

Ports America, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Operations Manager to direct and supervise terminal operations and staff, ensuring safe, efficient service for assigned customers and cargo types.

You will balance labor needs, schedules, overtime costs, and compliance with safety programs while partnering with M&R/Terminal departments. The role requires a Bachelor's or equivalent operations experience, 2+ years of management, TWIC, and a valid US driver's license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent operations experience is required.
• 2+ years of management, leadership, and/or supervisory experience.
• Obtain and maintain TWIC issued by DHS.
• Valid US Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Direct, plan and supervise the duties associated with terminal operations and staff.
• Ensure efficient, safe, and productive operations for assigned customers, terminal area, and cargo type.
• Participate in development and achievement of operational and financial goals while upholding Ports America values.
• Manage labor needs, overtime costs and expenditures in the best interests of the company and customers.
• Ensure payroll accuracy and compliance with safety programs.
