Job summary

Ports America, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Operations Manager to lead labor and operations across docks and inland teams. You will determine daily staffing, control overtime, and ensure cost-effective operations while maintaining safety and alignment with company policies.

The role involves coordinating with terminal departments, managing payroll, and upholding collective bargaining agreements, with a focus on operational excellence in a dynamic port environment.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required with 2+ years of supervisory experience.
• TWIC credential and valid US driver's license required.
• Experience with MS Office and computerized operating systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead Foreman, labor and personnel to meet performance and customer needs.
• Forecast daily labor and ensure cost-effective staffing.
• Oversee payroll accuracy and safety program compliance.
• Coordinate with M&R/Terminal departments for equipment allocation.
• Maintain positive labor relations and adherence to collective bargaining agreements.
• Communicate accountability and performance expectations to teams.
