Job summary

Bermuda Lakes RV Resort is hiring Prep/Line Cook for full and part time openings at our new poolside bar and restaurant in Fort Myers. We offer a casual, upscale kitchen focused on fast, quality service by the pool, with a collaborative team that values kindness and provides competitive wages plus benefits.

Responsibilities include preparing ingredients, cooking dishes, maintaining a clean prep area, following safety guidelines, assisting with inventory, and supporting the kitchen during busy

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
• Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Previous kitchen experience preferred but not required.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize duties during busy service times.
• Pre-employment screening including background check.
• Current food handling certification (i.e. AAA or ServSafe).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and measure ingredients according to recipes and instructions provided by the kitchen team.
• Wash, peel, chop, and cut vegetables, fruits, and other food items as needed.
• Prepare a variety of dishes according to provided recipes accurately and in a timely manner.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the prep area, including proper storage of ingredients.
• Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Support chefs and cooks by providing prepared ingredients promptly to facilitate meal preparation.
• Safely utilize grills, fryers, and other kitchen equipment when necessary.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment and utensils after use.
