Job summary

North Beach Village Resort is seeking a Part-Time Line Cook to join Village Cafe in Fort Lauderdale, FL. You will prepare salads, fish, and appetizers, manage guest orders, and ensure menu knowledge and consistent quality.

Responsibilities include monitoring ticket times, maintaining food safety standards, and keeping station stock and cleanliness in check. A culinary background is preferred, with flexibility to work weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Proven cooking experience in a restaurant setting.
• Experience as a Line Chef, Restaurant Cook or Prep Cook is preferred.
• Good understanding of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.
• Ability to work accurately and quickly.
• Willingness to follow food safety and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cold food items including salads, fruits, dressings, fish, and appetizers per recipes and standards.
• Manage guest orders in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner.
• Maintain knowledge of menu and food products.
• Monitor ticket times and food quality.
• Comply with safety equipment usage and recipe specs under supervision.
• Know proper storage of products in coolers and freezers.
• Stock and maintain designated food stations.
• Visually inspect all food before serving.
• Adhere to food handling and storage procedures per regulations and company policy.
• Perform other duties as assigned by department head.
