Responsibilities:
Prepare and measure ingredients according to recipes and instructions provided by the kitchen team.
Wash, peel, chop, and cut vegetables, fruits, and other food items as needed.
Prepare a variety of dishes according to provided recipes accurately and in a timely manner.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the prep area, including proper storage of ingredients.
Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Support chefs and cooks by providing prepared ingredients promptly to facilitate meal preparation.
Safely utilize grills, fryers, and other kitchen equipment when necessary.
Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment and utensils after use.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
Previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation setting is preferred but not required.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritize duties during busy service times.
Pre-employment screening including background check.
Current food handling certification (i.e. AAA or ServSafe).
