Job Title: Seasonal Pool Attendant

The Marriott Park Ridge is seeking a seasonal pool attendant to join their positive and talented team! Located near Woodcliff Lake, Nyack, The Outlets at Bergen Town Center, and New York City, the hotel features 289 rooms, over 18,000 sq. ft. of event space, and two on-site restaurants.

Job Overview

The ideal candidate should possess the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations. Responsibilities include:

1. Welcoming and acknowledging all guests according to hotel standards.
2. Anticipating and addressing guests' service needs.
3. Promoting the rules and regulations of the pool area.
4. Identifying security and safety risks or undesirable conditions in the pool area.
5. Monitoring and maintaining occupancy levels as per hotel policy for registered guests.
6. Observing activity in the pool area and responding appropriately in case of emergencies.
7. Providing assistance to injured guests until emergency medical services arrive, in a calm and professional manner.
8. Reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to a supervisor or manager.
9. Keeping the pool area clean, disinfected, and free of debris and trash.
10. Ensuring tables and chairs are properly set up.
11. Monitoring towels.

Required Skills and Knowledge

1. Effective listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills to communicate and document important information.
2. Ability to effectively interact with internal customers.
3. Physical ability to stand, walk, or sit continuously during the shift.
4. Hearing and visual acuity to observe and detect emergency situations.
