Hispanic Housing Development Corporation in Chicago, IL seeks an experienced Assistant Property Manager to support a Polish Senior Supportive Housing Sec 8 building.

Responsibilities include processing recertifications, rent calculations, leases, site inspections, and coordinating with residents and external agencies while upholding Fair Housing standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of multi-family property management experience.
• Must have or obtain leasing license within 6 months of hire.
• Must be bilingual in Polish or Spanish.
• Knowledge of Fair Housing laws and regulations.
• Excellent customer service and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Communicates problems and recommendations to the Property Manager and Property Supervisor.
• Processes recertification, sets up interviews, assists with forms, follows up with processing information, and prepares leases.
• Inspects site grounds and common hallways regularly.
• Monitors make-ready status of vacant apartments.
• Conducts housekeeping home visits and marketing outreach to local agencies.
• Acts as liaison and advocate for residents to public/private agencies.
• Carries out rent collection and follow-up for delinquent rent and evictions per HHDC policies.
• Assists in supervising office staff, maintenance staff, and contract workers.
