Job summary

Hispanic Housing Development Corporation in Chicago seeks a Property Supervisor to oversee the integrity of the physical asset, supervise on-site staff and coordinate with site managers to maximize property performance and owner value.

The role covers turnover, rent-up and leasing, on-going marketing, maintenance oversight, rent collection, budgeting and financial reporting, while ensuring compliance, safety and resident services across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Urban Planning, Business or related field preferred.
• Tax Credit Certification and Residential Management license required.
• Eight years of overseeing tax credit and assisted housing programs.
• Five years of supervisory experience managing property management teams.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus.
• Strong financial analysis and budgeting skills.
• Experience with governmental/community representatives.
• Proficient in MS Office and property management software.

Responsibilities

• Oversees turnover and rent-up processes for each site.
• Directs on-site staff and leasing personnel; monitors marketing programs.
• Maintains preventive maintenance and oversees capital improvements.
• Manages rent collection, lease enforcement, and resident relations.
• Prepares annual operating budgets and financial reports.
• Ensures compliance with policies; supports regulatory and audit needs.
• Supervises site managers and communicates with owners and contractors.
