Job summary

Nava Public Benefit Corp. is seeking a Policy Strategist to translate policy into practical decisions within an integrated eligibility platform.

You will collaborate with product, design, and engineering to ensure compliant, user-centered systems for application intake, notices, eligibility decisions, and case management. The role requires at least 3 years of policy analysis, Medicaid policy experience, and strong written and spoken communication.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of policy analysis experience.
• Experience researching and interpreting policy using statutes, regulations, or agency guidance.
• Ability to build and nurture relationships with internal teams and external partners.
• Self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in technical and policy contexts.
• Understanding of public programs at multiple government levels.
• Ability to document research processes, findings, and recommendations clearly.

Responsibilities

• Translate policy into system behavior, workflows, and user experiences.
• Identify regulatory constraints and risks and propose compliant solutions.
• Create artifacts to support decision-making and prioritization.
• Support testing and validation of policy implementation.
• Conduct landscape research to monitor evolving policies and translate them into implications for implementation.
• Synthesize research into clear written and verbal communications for diverse audiences.
• Build relationships with external partners to share policy expertise.
• Contribute to advocacy strategy development and execution.
