The Town of Gilbert seeks a Police Records Specialist I to compile, review, disseminate, maintain and secure police records. This role serves as the primary contact for requests from law enforcement, agencies, the public, media and others, answering questions about reports and records.
Essential duties include processing requests, redacting records, data entry into RMS/Brazos, and performing background checks. The position is at-will and non-exempt, with equal opportunity employment.

Team Gilbert has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional to fill the position of Police Records Specialist I.
The Police Records Specialist I reports to the Police Records Shift Supervisor. The primary purpose of the Police Records Specialist position is to compile, review for quality assurance, disseminate, maintain and secure police records. This position serves as primary point of contact via phone/fax/mail/email/in-person for law enforcement, other governmental agencies, public, media, insurance companies and attorneys requesting police records and provides direction, details, and answers to questions concerning police reports, cases, and various police-related information.

Obtain and maintain Level A Terminal Operator Certification within six months of hire

This position is an At-Will position and is FLSA Non-Exempt - eligible for overtime compensation.
