Job summary

Leidos LLC is seeking a Field Engineering Technician to perform field inspections of utility poles across New England. This is an hourly full-time role with hours contingent on availability of work and travel requirements.

The position involves data collection, field measurements, and photos, plus coordinating with pole owners to determine attachment heights. Most work is field-based, with occasional overnight travel and lodging provided when needed.

Qualifications

• Data collection and field notes at utility pole sites.
• Proficiency in MS Office and basic technical reporting.
• Good communication skills for coordination with owners and Leidos team.

Responsibilities

• Travel across New England (CT, MA, NY, NH) to inspect poles and collect data.
• Record field measurements and take photos for documentation.
• Meet with pole owners to determine attachment heights for new attachers.
• Document maintenance concerns and provide data for Leidos designers.
• Work primarily in the field; occasional overnight travel may be required.
• Follow safety procedures and report progress daily.
