Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Field Engineering Technician to perform field inspections of utility poles across New England. This HOURLY full-time role involves extensive travel, data collection, and documenting maintenance concerns to aid design solutions.

Responsibilities include meetings with pole owners, adherence to safety procedures, and communicating progress weekly. Training is provided, with potential for future design work and career growth within Leidos.

Qualifications

• Candidate should have power distribution field experience or an engineering degree.
• Proficiency in MS Office and strong verbal/written communication.
• Valid driver's license and ability to perform field work outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Travel across New England to collect data, measurements and photos of utility poles.
• Meet with joint pole owners to determine attachment heights for new attachers.
• Document maintenance concerns and gather data for design solutions.
• Work with supervisor to meet weekly goals and safety procedures.
