Job summary

Leidos is seeking Field Engineering Technicians to perform field inspections of utility poles across New England. This hourly, full-time role involves traveling within CT, MA, NY, and NH to collect data and photos, with occasional overnight stays. Training provided and opportunities to learn design tasks as skills grow.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, experience in field work or power distribution, and knowledge of MS Office. Local residence and valid driver's license are required.

Responsibilities

• Travel across New England (CT, MA, NY, NH) to inspect poles and collect data.
• Determine attachment heights with joint pole owners.
• Document maintenance concerns and support Leidos designers.
• Meet weekly goals and report progress to supervisor.
• Learn and perform design tasks as fielding skills progress.
• Work mostly field-based with occasional overnight stays.
