UCSF Health seeks a Pharmacy Technician II - Provider to support the California Poison Control System’s San Diego Division. You will assess and manage emergency and informational calls from the public, provide guidance on toxicology issues, and coordinate with specialists in poison information under CPCS policies.

The role requires a California-licensed technician with 2+ years in specialty or retail pharmacy, strong communication, and detail orientation.

Competenze

• Licensed Pharmacy Technician by the California Board of Pharmacy.
• Completion of a recognized/accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Specialty Pharmacy and/or in a retail/community pharmacy.

Mansioni

• Providing initial management advice and follow-up for emergency and informational telephone calls from the public to the CPCS.
• Managing and triaging calls to other staff as specified in CPCS policies.
• Documenting all consultations in an electronic medical record.
• Assisting in the development of written materials as requested.
• Providing referrals to and alerting governmental agencies when appropriate.
