UCSF is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II - Provider to support the California Poison Center’s hotline operations in the San Diego CPCS division. The role involves assessing public calls, triaging emergencies, and documenting consultations in an EMR, under supervision by Specialists and Directors.

The position emphasizes accurate history intake, professional caller interaction, and collaboration with CPCS staff to ensure timely referrals and information materials.

Competenze

• Licensed Pharmacy Technician by the California Board of Pharmacy or current California License as Pharmacy Technician or EMS Provider.
• Completion of a recognized/accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Specialty Pharmacy and/or in a retail/community pharmacy or equivalent.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of medical and pharmaceutical terminology.
• Ability to triage calls to other hotline staff.
• Experience in poison center or managing emergency health calls.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet Explorer, and database entry/retrieval.
