Job summary

Qualifications

• Two years of medical office experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Works reception desk, check-in/check-out, and surgery scheduling on a rotation basis.
• Enters and updates patient demographics and insurance information in the electronic health record.
• Schedules, reschedules and verifies patient appointments prioritizing acute disorders.
• Obtains referrals and authorizations for surgeries and radiology testing.
• Maintains patient files and handles correspondence with physicians and third parties.
