Job summary

JASPER Engines & Transmissions is hiring for a Blaster/Inspection role in Indiana. The position involves cleaning parts, inspecting for cracks and wear, and using buffers or contact cleaners. You will input part quantities into a computer and move items on carts with attention to detail.

Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for 8–10 hours, and operate handheld tools like impact wrenches and drills. This fast-paced environment offers overtime and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Inspect washed parts for cracks and wear; use buffer or contact cleaner as needed.
• Verify part condition and input quantities into the computer.
• Load parts onto carts and maintain accuracy while working in a fast-paced setting.

Job Overview

Diesel – POD 70 – Blaster/Inspection Job Overview: Associates will take the washed parts and if any parts need further cleaning, they will utilize a buffer or contact cleaner to remove any excess dirt or rust. The parts are then checked for cracks and areas of wear and loaded onto a cart. This individual must be detail oriented along with having strong hand dexterity. Associates utilize various tools such as impact or drill. They will inspect the parts verify whether they are good or bad and use a computer to input part quantities. This individual must be detail oriented, computer literate, and have problem-solving skills as well as being able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule

Monday - Friday 6:30am-3:00pm Overtime available

Qualifications

• The ability to lift, bend, push, pull and move materials up to 50lbs.

Salary and Benefits

Starting rate $20.00 + based on experience.
