Job summary

Jasper Engines in Jasper, IN is seeking a Blasting Operator to run a blasting cabinet and inspect parts. The role requires attention to detail, good hand dexterity, and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Day shift Monday–Friday 6:30am–3:00pm, in a climate-controlled environment with on-site facilities. The position includes competitive starting pay of $20.00 per hour plus experience-based increases, paid time off after 30 days, and participation in a 401(k)/ESOP retirement program.

Qualifications

• The ability to lift, bend, push, pull and move materials up to 40lbs.
• The ability to stand or walk an entire shift (approx. 8-10 hours).
• The ability to use handheld tools such as impacts, drills, hammers, screwdrivers, etc.

Responsibilities

• Operate blasting cabinet and inspect parts.
• Blast surfaces to remove finishes such as paint, grease, tar, rust, and dirt.
• Maintain quality and safety during blasting operations.

Job description

Job Overview:

Blasting requires utilizing basic hand tools, air tools, hoist equipment and computers. Positions may be required to lift up to 40lbs. Need to have excellent attention to detail, strong hand dexterity, problem solving skills. This is a fast-paced environment.

Blasting:

This position consists of running a blasting cabinet effectively as well as the testing and inspection of various parts. This position is responsible for blasting surfaces of different components to remove the original finish such as paint, grease, tar, rust, and dirt.

Schedule:

• Monday - Friday 6:30am-3:00pm

Qualifications

• The ability to lift, bend, push, pull and move materials up to 40lbs.
• The ability to stand or walk an entire shift (can be approx... 8-10 hours)
• The ability to use handheld tools such as impacts, drills, hammers, screwdrivers, etc.
• Walking: Frequently

• Starting rate $20.00 + based on experience.
