Job summary

Bill Howe Plumbing, Heating & Air, Restoration & Flood is seeking a Plumbing Service Manager to lead field operations in the San Diego area. You will oversee field leads and technicians, coach staff, and ensure service quality, safety, and regulatory compliance while driving profitability.

The role requires 3–5 years of managerial plumbing experience, strong communication skills, and a clean driving record.

• Knowledge of current code requirements
• Strong communication and coaching skills

Responsibilities

• Oversee field leads and field technicians
• Train, manage, and evaluate field technicians
• Conduct ride-alongs and site visits with technicians
• Ensure work meets high quality standards and permits where required
• Monitor technicians for appearance and hygiene; coach toward KPIs
• Communicate and monitor goals; manage workload and schedules
• Facilitate weekly meetings; assist field leads as needed
• Ensure OSHA safety standards and a safety culture
• Provide feedback to executives on field trends and morale
• Aim to meet budgeted average ticket and gross margin; exceed goals
• Perform clerical duties related to field tech paperwork and evaluations
