Job summary

Happy Home is seeking a Plumbing Sales/Commercial Estimator who will generate new business, build lasting relationships with homeowners and managers, and turn opportunities into signed work through accurate estimates.

The role blends technical plumbing knowledge with consultative selling—evaluating jobs on-site, presenting options, and closing the sale. On-site travel and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in plumbing industry (field, service, or sales) with knowledge of plumbing systems, codes, and installation practices.
• Proven success in sales, estimating, or customer-facing roles—home or trade sales preferred.
• Ability to scope and price plumbing jobs, read plans, and explain technical work clearly.
• Strong relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills; natural networker.
• Experience with CRM software, estimating tools, tablets, and standard office apps.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record; ability to pass background/drug screening.
• Plumbing license or journeyman card is a plus, not required.

Responsibilities

• Drive new business through referrals, networking, and follow-ups on company leads.
• Build and maintain relationships with homeowners, property managers, builders, and contractors to drive repeat business.
• Represent the company at trade shows and community events as a trusted plumbing advisor.
• Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and meet monthly/ quarterly targets.
• Prepare accurate estimates covering labor, materials, equipment, and permits with healthy margins.
• On-site evaluations of residential and light commercial plumbing projects to scope work.
• Coordinate with service manager to confirm scope, schedule, and execution after sale.
• Document all customer interactions, estimates, and sales activity in the CRM.
